If you are near Madison Square Park and have some time to kill and want to sip on something warm, go to Birch Coffee at the Gershwin Hotel on 27th. This is my FAVORITE coffee shop in NYC. Great upstairs area called The Library, great food downstairs. Try the Toasted Almond tea- which smells like how I imagine all of heaven smells. And if you just want to chill on a giant couch you can go into the hotel lobby and hang out no questions asked.
